Nowlin is a family owned and operated business, with a long herritage in gunsmithing. Today, the firm is producing several different kinds of M-1911 pistols, which are shown below.

Nowlin Mickey Fowler Model

This is a custom .45 ACP auto, based on the requirements of four-time Bianchi Cup Champion, Mickey Fowler. The gun feautures all the expected bits and pieces, to make it both a carry gun and a competition pistol. Features include: Adjustable LPA rear sight, with dovetailed matching front, front and rear cocking serrations, flared and enlarged ejection port, Nowlin match-grade barrel, full length guide rod, skeletonized trigger with overtravel adjustement, skeletonized hammer, extended tactical thumb safety, beavertail safety, slightly extended (aka tactical) slide stop, 30 lpi front strap checkering, mag well integrated into the mainspring housing, and a set of very beautiful stocks, with Mickey signature. Nowlin NM Models

There are two models based on the Nowlin NM gun. The first, called the "Defender" with a forged frame, barrel and slide and machined tool steel hammer and sear, extended ejector, tuned extractor, Hi-set beavertail grip safety, extended magazine release, match light weight trigger, checkered mainspring housing, checkered Nowlin "Logo" wood grips, low profile fixed dovetail sights, chrome silicone springs. Nowlin E.C.M. Match grade barrel, lowered and flared side port. The second is called "Challenger" and features the same goodies as the "Defender" plus competition match grade machined hammer and sear, upgraded parts and fitting.

Options for the above include Tritium Fixed Night Sights, Tritium Adjustable Night Sights, Chrome Finish, Front Grip Strap Machine Checked.

CX2 Compact

This gun features machine tool steel hammer and sear, extended ejector, tuned extractor, Hi-set beavertail grip safety, extended magazine release, match light weight trigger, checkered mainspring housing. Nowlin"Logo" checkered wood grips, lower and flared ejector port, feed ramp, polished barrel throat.

CX Compact

This gun has the same features as the CX2. Nowlin designed these full size frames with shortened compact slides to give the shooter a positive controllable grip, which ensures reliability, function and improved accuracy and faster follow up shots.

007B Compact

Same features as the CX2, designed for under cover carry, with full 7- or 8-round magazine.
