Norinco is producing some basic, no-bell-and-whistles M-1911 pistols. However, due to the quality of their metals, these pistols are a suitable base for custom work. Enough to say that Bill Wilson will do any of his custom pistols on a customer's Norinco. Below, you can see a picture I found in a European's shop catalog, where a Government size M-1911 A1 in .45 ACP, is pictured together with a 9 mm Para conversion unit. Also you can see their Commander-sized pistol.
