Parts Manufacturers : King's |
King's is producing a whole range of M-1911 parts. The two pictures at the bottom of this page, show parts for standard M-1911 parts or for Para-Ordnance parts. Their latest catalog includes the following unique (or shall I say interesting) parts:
King's Ambidextrous Safety
Interesting part, since it uses a dovetail hammer pin to hold the two parts of the sagety together, instead of relying on the thin sear pin, or the usual "under-the-right-grip-panel" protrusion. I like this!
Bushing Compensators
These parts replace the barrel bushing of your M-1911, and offer you reduced muzzle jump, just like a compensator. They come in Government or Commander length.
Recoil Buffer
The first recoil-reducing device I've seen, which does not uses a full-length guide rod. For the "pinch-checking" people!
King's 4-prong sear spring
I love them. I have one in each of my guns and they are great.
Also, King's are producing some more interesting things, like magazines for the Colt Ace Conversion Kit, King's Maximizer Base Pad, (a magazine pad, which allows the usage of full-length magazines in Officers size frames, if the frame is equipped with a mag well), King's Compensated barrrels (barrels, which protrude from the front of your slide and have cuts, directing gazes upwards, to produce a compensator effect).
See below some of the more ... standard parts they sell.
King is also producing some interesting parts, which deserve mentioning. These include drop-in barrels for the Government model in .45 ACP, .40 S&W and .400 Cor-Bon, a compensated, ramped, bull barrel kit for the Commander, a compensated, bull barrel kit for the Officers and a four-prong sear spring. This last item, I am using it in my Bigmouth and I am pretty satisfied with it. Its ability to individually tune the spring tension on the trigger, sear, disconnector and grip safety, is a significant addition to the standard 3-prong design.
